Sophomore at TAMU, heard there are Superdays at both the Jefferies and JP Morgan Houston offices this week. Anyone confirm? Are interviews starting now?

Are you sure its 2018? They havent even gotten this summer's intern class in the office and they're already recruiting next year. I know the timeline has gotten earlier in recent years but I didnt know it was this early. Are you sure its not Superdays to fill up some last slots for this summer's intern class? I dont mean to doubt your knowledge, I'm just genuinely curious to see if the timeline is this early.
Yes, they are take multiple sophomores for superdays. Heard it was b/c UT changed their timeline and everything is sorta fucked now. People are saying once the first bank jumps they all will, and that they could have their class filled by July. Freaking everyone out.
Can confirm superdays are at the end of this week
Can confirm. GS superdays in May.
Rice student here. Can confirm. GS had an event last week as well. Hold on to your butts.
This is abso-fcking-lutely ridiculous. I went to Rice and did IB, and at this point (sophomore year) hadn't the slightest clue what IB was. Having superdays with sophomores is absurd.
Yes. It's definitely happening.
GS NYC interviews mid-May.
.
Yes. These are superday final rounds.
Sophomore May during finals season extremely unrealistic. Then again, who knows. What school do you go to Ivy_Student?
...
Which schools will there be a Mid-May Goldman superday for? And this is for non-diversity IBD 2018 NYC SA?
As others have said, my target has had info sessions, but we were told the timeline is applications open in the summer, and on-campus recruiting will happen with that in the summer.
If you're not going you're not getting hired. Simple as that.
Attended the GS event last week. It was an insights day and the firm mentioned applications open mid July. Didn't hear anything about a superday coming up.
GS came on campus a couple of weeks ago (top target) and they literally said applications will open in mid-July. I've also been in contact with the recruiter and haven't heard anything about this. Ivy_Student is either talking trash or being lied to and passing it on.
It's different for top targets. Y'all have certain spots reserved for you, banks have no need to accelerate. Non and semi-targets don't have any spots, so we compete for accelerated spots sometimes, outside of a general pool.
My school is a top target though
Can confirm that there is a May superday for GS NYC 2018 SA, non-diversity.
Which school are you from? Do you know how many people at ur school have been invited?
Semi-target in the south, just 1.
I think it's possible they could have superdays for select students, potentially top students they identified from UT. Wouldn't worry about it though, it's not like it's the final round of superdays those banks will have. I would anticipate early August superdays though for the more general population of candidates
Several banks are recruiting at UT this semester. Can confirm.
Can confirm the May superday for GS NYC SA 2018. HCM told me it was part of accelerated recruitment for target students they've already identified, but also said the regular application will open on July 15th, and that there is no advantage going through the accelerated process (accelerated rejects can't re-apply with everyone else)
This has become fucking ridiculous. Before you know it there will be super days in fucking high school if you get into a target. "So tell me about your experience mowing lawns"
Lol, take all of my bananas.
This is insane.
.
See you there! Are you interviewing for financing or classic?
.
Of all places to be super accelerated, Jefferies? Surprising to say the least.
Why is that so suprising?
Jesus, this is an arms race
These are the banks in Houston who have had Super Days: JPM, GS, CS, MS, Evercore, TPH, Jefferies, & Moelis. Keep in mind this was pretty much only for UT kids it was a very weird accelerated process
Any idea when the NYC office will have superdays? CS just came out with their apps and didn't hear anything about the timeline.
