Prestige doesn’t pick up the check at the end of dinner
Nah man analyst comp is only the first 2 years of your career, 5% at max, and not super predictable. It’s fun to compare but doesn’t matter much. Depending on your long term goals, weighing prestige (or any other factor) over comp can be a logical and respectable move.

PWP departing at 45k for A2 I think is off, know a few departing that got top and mid at 90 and 80.
That’s kind of shocking. I feel like they wouldn’t pay that high for those that are leaving.
FYI they usually pay you close to your real performance - it’s “honoring” the contract and paying you for the work you did. You’ll see firms doing it less in downturns like now where the budget tight and know it’s not necessarily.
I was paid same as top bucket when I left after my second year.

Are these for the first six months or these for annualized using a run rate for the full year?
Neither. Think of these numbers as LTM bonuses. People started in the summer and these numbers reflect their first 12 months on the job.
