2024 Best LevFin Groups for Credit Exits?

I interned with a MM LevFin group this summer and received a return offer. My goal is to work at a credit hedge fund after banking. I suspect I will get some interest from buyside firms, but I think moving banks could increase my chances of getting interviews. I realize hiring is slow right now but I want to start networking early to get a foot in the door.

What are the best LevFin groups for buyside recruiting? What firms would you target if credit HF (maybe private credit but more interested in the public side) recruiting was your main goal in banking?

My individual humble opinion based on the tiny info I know:

1. GS

2. JPM

3. SAN/CS/CSFB

4. BAML

5. CITI

not sure if I am aware of many more lev fin groups  open to changing order and/or adding others

Never seen a more wrong ranking of groups on WSO before (referring to the ranking with SAN). Not going to speak to exits, but San isn't a top LevFin franchise, not even top 10 in lead-lefts, or really any solid way to evaluate LevFin banks.

Rankings are just the top 2/maybe 3 (JPM/BoFA/maybe GS), then 5 banks or so just behind them, none of which is San (Barc/Citi/DB/Jef/UBS). GS being above the others is a more recent thing in the past year or two, thus hesitant to not put them in that tier of chasing the pack. The poster above has arguably the right 5 banks (arguably because Citi/UBS can be argued), so it is at least directionally correct.
