3.6 gpa as a math major
i have a little over a 3.6 gpa coming from a semi-target school. i have 2 very relevant internships (one during the school year) and am trying to break into IB next year. do banks care about major that much? is my lower gpa somewhat excusable bc i am a math and econ double major?
Bump
GPA > Major. Always.
Every senior banker I know will lose you once you use the hard major excuse. Very good GPA with a very hard major is a plus, but is not an excuse otherwise.
is a 3.6-3.65 low enough where they would ask why low gpa? during recruiting my gpa should be ~3.75. i am also an athlete so that could help a little
3.75 should be fine. Obviously not outstanding but you won't get dinged for a 3.75 and nobody will question you
You’re Him
I had same GPA as math major and made BB
Should be fine, depends on your internships tho. Brand names + IB?
