Is this open to anyone or is it targeted to minorities? It looks like a good opportunity, especially for someone as young as a freshman.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

"You'll need to be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited university and have completed your sophomore year of university prior to the program start. In addition, we look for students who are academically strong so you'll also have to meet minimum GPA criteria of a 3.4. "

Seems like a sophomore program to me.

Yes, the Emerging Talent - U.S is geared towards sophomores. You can read a bit more about it via this post they made on their Facebook page (search: UBS Careers, and scroll down a bit and you will come across their post about this program. A few applicants have been commenting on it, and UBS is quite diligent in replying. So checking that out may help.)

Hey I was wondering if someone knew if this program was segment by divisions. For example the investment banking people go to one team and the Wealth Management go to another?

3/8 means the date. I don't know why they would send them out on a Friday, so I'm kind of skeptical. Considering I thought I had a good chance...

"I did it for me...I liked it...I was good at it. And I was really... I was alive."

Has anyone gotten any an email a first round?

Yes, 3/8 is the date (March 8th), and it is for the NYC location. I posted an edit today when I remembered different regions have different processes. I don't know if they will send rejection emails, or if they have done so already. I received a first round email Friday, but I don't know if it's staggered, etc.

A friend from my school (target) got notified Friday as well, I'm going off the assumption that I didn't get a first round. Is this program diversity oriented? Wasn't aware of it when I applied. Would you mind sharing a little of your background?

I don't think it's diversity oriented. If you look at their website ( https://www.ubs.com/microsites/emerging-talent-program/en/home.html ), it never mentions diversity recruiting. The program is part of their education initiative: https://www.ubs.com/global/en/about_ubs/media/switzerland/releases/news…

I go to a top 20 semi-target majoring in engineering with a great GPA and have previous finance experience at local shops.

I mean they should send everyone a notice, whether it is an admission or a rejection right? You gotta a notice on 3/8 saying you were selected after the first round?

From my experience with other banks, sometimes I would not get a rejection until weeks after the superday was talked about on wso. I got a notice I was selected for a first round interview on 3/8. Not that I was selected after the first round; I still have to have my interview.

I got notified that I am offered a secound round interview for the Zurich program, however I haven't been told when it will take place and where. Anyone of you has more information about second rounds in Zurich?

Hey, I haven't heard back yet either. Do you have any news by now?
