Advice on undergrad institution

I am currently a sophomore at a non target that sends a very small portion of students to Wall Street. I have a 4.0 GPA and was recently just rejected as an out of state transfer student for the winter semester to University of Michigan. I was planning on transferring to u of m econ and then applying to ross, but due to not having junior standing, I was rejected. I would like to apply to a few schools for a fall 2015 transfer, but I do not really know where to apply. I have viewed the target transfer thread before. Schools I have considered in the past are Upenn Econ, Georgetown, and Cornell econ or ilr (do not have prerequisites for AEM). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? I would like to apply to schools that I have at least a chance of getting in to. However, I think I will be dinged by most Econ programs as I am currently a finance major, and will have taken only 2 econ classes at the time of applying. My main reasons for transferring are to strengthen my brand, and have increased opportunities in investment banking. Any suggestions?

Keep trying for the schools you mentioned in your post. Have you ever explored the option of transferring to West Coast? Look into UC Berkeley (target), UCLA (target), and USC (semi target). Also look into other great schools such as Notre Dame (target), Vanderbilt (semi target), and Emory (semi target). Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Notre Dame does not allow transfers into business school. UC Berkley as well as UVA Mcintire reserve most of their spots for community college transfers in California and Virginia.

Didn't know about Notre Dame's policy but I don't think any college goes on to "reserve" spots for community colleges etc. It's just easier for UCB and UVA to process transfer applications from schools in the same state due to integrated computer systems and student aid policies. That shouldn't stop you from applying there. Just my two cents.
