If you're asking if it's worth it then you can afford them you'd just rather not pay. In that case you need to look at your situation. Do you have offers outstanding that you are also interested in? How about other interviews? Firms still making decisions? If this is your only option or one of a a couple I'd say to take it. Otherwise I'd pass or maybe see if you can get a partial reimbursement out of them.

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."

Italian PM with some fine words of advice

Thanks for the advice, all. Did the cost benefit analysis. I'm gonna go. Did some more diligence, and I think it'd be a great fit.

Haters gonna hate

i wouldn't go to this unless you have no other offers. a firm that won't pay for your travel costs is ridiculous....

Well, it's better than nothing, but given this, OP should expect below average comp, particularly for the workload.

Believe duff indicated he knew someone that hated the lifestyle.

Yea, and there are a few reviews in the Company Database that seem to back that up. But OP should keep an open mind about them going into the interview - company cultures can change and OP could be a better fit there than my friend of a friend.

"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."

I don't necessarily believe it's as ridiculous as some people make it seem. AGC Partners has offices in the SF Bay Area and Boston; both of those metro areas are filled with qualified candidates who can drive to the AGC offices to do an interview. Why would they pay for someone to travel there? They probably don't see a need to import talent from far away when there's plenty in there own backyard and them offering an interview without travel comp is actually pretty fair to the OP considering they could have just dropped him.

just did a past transactions search on AGC. Looking at their deal size and types of transactions they did, i highly doubt there's plenty of qualified candidates who want to work for AGC.

P.S. America's Growth Capital has got to be the worst name ever.
