Am I competitive for Oxford MFE?

Hi all my background is as follows : 170Q / 162V GRE, previous intern at MF PE and incoming intern at a BB. Mid 70’s (first class) score in my second year at a target university

Wondering if I’m competitive at all. I just done my GRE back so that’s why I’m asking this so late.

Based on previous WSO threads, here's what you need to know:

  1. Academic Background:

    • You have a strong GRE score (170Q / 162V) which is competitive.
    • Your mid-70s (first class) score in your second year at a target university is also a positive indicator.
  2. Work Experience:

    • Previous internship at a Mega Fund Private Equity (MF PE) and an incoming internship at a Bulge Bracket (BB) bank are significant strengths.
  3. General Advice:

    • Oxford values a good quantitative background and solid grades, which you seem to have.
    • Work experience, especially in high-profile internships like yours, is highly regarded.

Given your strong GRE scores, relevant internships, and solid academic performance, you appear to be a competitive candidate for the Oxford MFE program. However, always ensure to highlight your unique experiences and strengths in your application to stand out further.
