American -> Oxford -> US IB?

I applied to Oxford sort of on a whim and was recently notified that I was shortlisted for an interview, meaning that Oxford is actually in the picture as of now. If I end up getting accepted and going there, how easy would it be to come back and land an IB job in the US? I'm already an American citizen.

It would be harder than going to a target in the US would. If you have the grades to get into Oxford, you can get into an American target (though I know Oxford is pretty much only academic potential while American schools are holistic). If you get into Oxford and an American target, I would probably go to the American one unless the difference in prestige is a lot. You could recruit in the UK and transfer to the US. I know someone who is trying to do that right now, but I'm not sure how it's going. I do know someone who was an American at a US school who recruited to the UK via an alum connection, so I would assume the opposite is possible and that there are probably at least a few Oxford guys on WS.

The commenter above is right though about the academic term timeline overlapping with US internship dates. Oxford takes academics more seriously than almost all American schools, so I doubt you'd be able to miss.
