Analyst vs Intern

Most of my peers kind of exaggerate their roles by putting analyst instead of intern on their resume.

I have a very good amount of experience doing internships, but how should I be titling these on my resume/linkedin? For example, working as a PE Intern, should I write “Private Equity Intern” or “Private Equity Analyst”

It seems kind of arrogant to put analyst, but also might help me get roles. What are your thoughts? Do you think it’s cringe to put analyst?

Analyst implies a FT job. I would definitely not put that.

"Summer analyst" "Winter analyst" etc are totally fair game as they imply a shorter time frame/internship. But just "Analyst" is a misstatement

I read a ton of resumes and I slightly prefer summer analyst, probably because it's what banks used and I'm used to it. But I'm certainly not dinging anyone because their experience says intern rather than summer analyst
