Another Background Check Question - Currently junior

I know there a ton of these threads, but I just got a SA offer and my situation is pretty unique.

I'm currently a junior, and last year when I was applying to sophomore internships, I couldn't remember whether my SAT score was a 1430 or a 1450. At that point, I had forgotten all my highschool passwords, and just picked 1450 on a hunch and it was higher.

I knew for sure my math was 750 so I put down my reading as 700. I got an internship at a commercial bank last summer and got through a background check, so I figured I had guessed right.

Turns out I guessed wrong and I actually have a 1430. My reading score is actually 680 and not 700. Should I be worried about this 20pt mistake??

I thought I made it pretty clear that I'm a junior in college.

I know to be cautious now, but I honestly wasn't even thinking about my SAT score when I applied this time around because I had already gone through background checks once.

Is 1430 vs 1450 a big deal to these banks?

You're missing the point. If you mess this up, you are either dishonest or careless. Both are auto-dings. Keep your fingers crossed that they don't piece it together.

Seriously? Your analysis of this kid is entirely too draconian. Get a fucking life. Do you know how many careless mistakes happen while working? A lot. A flawless resume doesn't protect against that in the slightest. No one's going to ding this kid over 20 measly SAT points.

And if banking recruiting is any type of measuring stick for integrity I don't want to live on this planet anymore. Some of the most morally deprived people I've ever encountered made it fine through their IB background checks.

^I dont think they will care and he already got the offer so how is this an auto-ding? Its not like you changed it by 50pts, 20 pts is literally 1 math question wrong. Im not sure if the background check companies even check SAT scores, and if they do and you get your offer rescinded for 20 pts that you honestly forgot, then...I dont know, thats probably the stupidest shit ever.

Are background checks conducted before you start work or after?

Obviously for SA/FT roles, theres a huge gap between the time you receive an offer and the time you start so for a position that needs a fill soon, would you start work first while the check is being done or would the check have to be done before starting?

UM, arent back ground checks to make sure you arent like Bateman, and hacking up people with an ax for no apperent reason.
