Any BB internships open to freshmen
Hi - I'm a really cracked freshman at a top target. I'm in the top clubs at my school and have lots of experience with some PE stuff and asset management. None of my experience however has been at super big firms and I'm curious if any large firms had any open internships. I could just go the boring route and find some small firm that'll take me on but that's no fun.
I don't really care about what I do (leaning IB though) and am willing to do anything (i.e. customer service, tech, quant, PE, S&T) to have a big name bank on my resume. I know that MS has some open tech stuff that doesn't have a grad requirement. I'm non-diversity but I'm also open to EU stuff since I'm an EU citizen (is this a better place to look?). I was also considering just saying I'm graduating 2027 (technically possible if I drop half of my double major) for apps but thats not super helpful as I'd only be eligible for sophomore programs and most of those are diversity. Saying I'm graduating 2026 feels disingenuous although I'm confident my resume can beat any sophomore applying to those positions.
Pipe down bro…nobody is going to want to give you advice when you think you’re the shit. If you really were all that, 1) you wouldn’t be in finance, and 2) you would do some google searching for yourself.
Oof. Unfortunately as an international you are likely cooked. Consider looking at some opportunities in WM/ LMM.
To be serious -- I think capital one has a freshman summer something that some of the most cracked kids at my school did. Not BB obviously but it is a brand name to tack on to your resume.
