Anyone else forget technicals the second they stop reviewing?

I’ve gone through BIWS once and felt solid at the time, but after a few weeks of focusing on school, I realized I’ve already forgotten a ton.

Is this normal? Do people just accept that technicals are something you relearn closer to interviews?

Curious how others structured this without burning out or rereading guides 5 times...

This is standard. You’re currently memorizing "inputs" rather than understanding the plumbing.

Think of it like a language. If you aren't speaking it, you forget the vocab. But once you understand the grammar (the underlying logic of why the statements link or why we use FCF), it’s much harder to unlearn.

Don't burn out relearning it every month. Focus on your GPA. When interview season gets close, do a hard refresh. Since you’ve seen it once, it will come back 10x faster the second time.
