Anyone have an example of a financial model?

I've never had an internship but I always read on here about people building models in Excel. What do these things look like? How did you learn to build them? Any classes I can take in school to learn?

h3dgehogIf you were desperate enough, you would know that macaques has templates for models like basic dcfs and lbos

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

Sure. Will e sign it to so they know where this non-public info came from and HR can know that I sent out company property to help someone I know on the Internet.

Holy shit. Show some initiative and build your own (online resources for financial models are everywhere and if you look at analyst reports they have the basic lines broken down for you). Compared to some other kids I know who build full-blown models and have a pitch ready even before an actual interview, you might need to put in more work.

Took a look at your previous posts. Be careful with your tone during the interview as well; I'm sure you're not like that in person, but the way you asked for a resume review and for a BB model make you sound pretty entitled. Good luck bud.

I would love to look at a few models if someone would like to send them my way as well.

Same, currently just an intern so if anyone is nice enough to send me some models that I could learn from, that'd be great. if not, i understand.

I would love to see the GS models as well. I have a few models used by an ER analyst at an elite boutique. Please PM if you are interested in exchanging.

I'm looking for some good, comprehensive and detailed models. I am obviously willing to send along the two models from GS i have in exchange. PM if you have something good. Just looking for different methods of modeling used by other firms.

Which two models do you have from GS? LBO, DCF...?

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA
