Asking for more work?
Recently lateraled into banking from another industry (i.e. consulting) so not sure how this works. Been a few weeks in - spent the first week or so getting access/stuff but only got one staffing so far (with another analyst to ramp up). Should I be asking for more work from my staffer? Feel like might be best to take it slow at first but open to any advice.
Absolutely do not do this. Take it slow, appreciate the time you have now, and get yourself up to speed. This is a very good way to get yourself overwhelmed.
you are probably right.. just feels like an island sometimes sitting around with no work (4 weeks in)
Yeah don’t do it… I lateraled at the beginning of the year, first weeks were slow so I pushed for more work from different parties… now I’m getting fucked and considering leaving because I just have too much work haha
Honestly man this prob the worst part of wfh is the new joiners . Just less camaraderie and slower ramp up
Bump
Please please please x100 don't do this. You'll get plenty of work. If you're finding too much time on your hands, maybe ask for a sample deck your group worked on in the past and study what goes in them.
Don’t fucking do this
are you a 2020 grad?
No shot. Worst idea imaginable. Please don't do that to yourself.
