Associate Compensation at a Boutique
Hey guys, I'm currently an analyst at a boutique investment bank (i.e., 10 people) in a major southern city (e.g., Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, etc.). The partners in my group have repeatedly expressed promoting me to an associate in the next few months after having been an analyst for ~2.5 years at the firm. Assuming the promotion works out what would be an appropriate base / compensation to expect? During my 2nd year as an analyst my base was $70k with a $45k bonus and I was working an average of 60-70 hrs a week if that helps frame where I am now. In my head $90-$100k base seems reasonable. I understand there's a lot of variance in boutique compensation, but wanted to see if anyone had any insight. Thanks!
