Background check…

Hey boys, going through background check for my SA position now. I'm wondering whether I can hand in a resume different from the one I applied for the position with. Specifically, taking one internship I did back in freshman summer. To be honest that was more like a training program.

And during the one month time, I did DCFs, pitch books and several slide decks. But there's minimal communication between me and my supervisor. Plus, due to the fact that it was a "unpaid internship," my offer letter seems pretty casual. And I highly doubt whether that guy will pick up the phone when the third party calls in…

Should I include it in my resume tho, as the original resume did have this. So to speak, I have three other experiences during which my supervisors fucking loved me.Any insight is appreciated!

For what it's worth every background check I have done has only been interested in paid gigs.

Even so, when they call they are asking "Can you confirm Sweat_is_Life worked here from June 2020 to August 2020? Was his title 'Intern'?" (or whatever dates) They are not verifying what you actually did because of liability. And if they can't get in touch with the guy after multiple attempts, they will ask you for any proof you have to verify you did work there - offer letter should be fine but also any paperwork, photo of badge, coworkers to verify your story, literally anything.

That said I wouldn't try to sneak it off with a new resume. The background check is usually a fill in the box type form, but again it's unlikely they're looking to verify anything unpaid
