BAML LevFin or UBS DCM for SA
Which program would offer a better investment banking training? In terms of office environment and dealflow, which would be a better choice?

In terms of skill set and marketability, I would definitely go with BAML LevFin. BAML has a strong name in the lev fin space, and they are definitely rising due to the combined strengths of BA and ML. Lev Fin although not where it was 3 years ago, of course, is still thought of as one of the core feeder groups for post IB opps - similar to M&A. UBS is slumping to the weaker end of the BB spectrum and DCM, especially if you are referring to HG DCM while there will be a lot of deal closings, is predominantly pitch work and quick work. I would go with BAML and Lev Fin, try to land a FT offer, and then go from there.

BAML Lev Fin...easy answer lol. UBS isn't that strong in DCM (has a fairly strong ECM group though). Lev Fin does feed a decent amount into PE and the deal flow at BAML Lev Fin has been pretty strong as of late. Besides, at UBS, DCM isn't part of their IBD.

What about UBS IBD NY compared to BAML LevFin (Charlotte)? I understand that UBS has gone down lately and had a lot of its IBD was ransacked but it's still a banking summer internship. My main concerns are being able to leverage myself up with my summer internship to land a solid FT offer next year. Which do you think offers the best opportunity?
