They were pretty strong a few years ago from what I’m told but lost their biggest revenue generating MDs to Petrie (?) and WF (OFS) and been relatively shaking since then. Exits have been pretty average. They were on Oxy-Anadarko from what I remember (along with like 5 others), and I personally think it’s a fine place to work in energy.

IMO they're pretty mediocre nowadays. Surprisingly rough hours relative to deal flow. They'll get thrown some bones here and there given their balance sheet (got a large blue chip A&D deal that should have been going to market before all this went to hell). Exits like the above poster referenced are pretty average. Not a bad place to land but would not be my first or second choice, personally.

They were lead advisor to Oxy and did quite a few good deals last year but would still consider them solidly middle of the pack in Houston - they get deals but they're not first call for most clients.

Exits have not been great for some reason but have heard it's likely due to their juniors being pretty mediocre quality which is sort of a self-fulfilling prophesy (exits not great so best candidates go to other banks).

i did superday with bank of america for the houston office and on the last interview, the interviewer told me that i would be hearing from them very soon. the other interviewers went well also (in my opinion) but it has been 24 hours and i havent heard anything. how long do you generally have to wait to hear back?
