Best Credit Suisse Groups (NYC)

This topic has been covered in the past, but there it hasn't been discussed recently. What are the best NY based groups at Credit Suisse? I'm looking for the most quantitative experience as a Summer Associate.

"AtticuSFincg" They have a really good Sponsors Group. Not sure about the technical experience, but if you have buy-side aspirations, it is a good group.

I've read similar comments that were years ago, is this still the case? Do full-time associates get modeling experience?

Any comments around Leveraged Finance? I'm thinking Industrials, M&A and Leveraged Finance as my top groups. I want to get modeling experience as a Summer Associate

Sponsors and LA tie.. edge to sponsors for placement. LA for diversity of experience. However, LA mostly places on the west coast.

(pretty decent gap for exit opps)

Tech- not as close to 100% placement but they still land guys in top shop.

LA and sponsors places EVERYONE pretty much.

question, I read some threads saying that LA means Los Angeles while others saying that it's the way hongkong people end their sentence with. In other words, LA means end of a sentence. And in this case, it seems like LA refers to a product group. What does it really mean?

It means Los Angeles...

LA, as a industry group, can sometimes mean Latin America but everyone here is referring to CS in the City of Angels.
