Best EVR M&A groups?
Recently got a return offer at Evercore NY and was wondering which groups were the best/most coveted from previous years. No specific industry interest, but looking for a good experience. Would also love to hear which groups to avoid. PMs are open if you want to stay anonymous, thank you!
Most popular groups were HC, Tech, Media, Comms, and Industrials. Groups to avoid depend on your definition. I would definitely avoid Energy Transition. Tech also has pretty terrible culture but ppl tank it for the exits. FWIW the sophisticated HHs do know when group placements happen and will chase you for your placement results.

Not sure about NY office. Too many deals. I heard the Mongolia office is much more chill.
