What are the thoughts about Citi on the street? Building on that, what are the most prestigious IB groups at Citi?

M&A, sponsors, FIG, Industrials
Never heard Citi and prestigious in the same sentence before. Nice.
Ignore title. Non-target/Interned at Citi this past summer. M&A and Industrials are really the ONLY relevant groups. Only one I’d say definitely avoid is CET for sure.
Why avoid CET? NY only or houston too?
M&T is pretty good too
Industrials is a sweatshop
If you're just looking for exits then I've mostly heard M&A & Industrials. I've also heard Healthcare has had solid deal flow lately (relative to the overall market), and one of the verticals in FIG typically does well (don't remember which though).
The Real Estate Group is phenomenal in terms of RE exits, but only relevant if you're interested in RE.
Keep in mind that the groups that are the best in terms of exits are also the sweatiest for the same reason: deal flow.

At the end of the day you should probably care more about whether you like the people you work with and find your work interesting, but the world is your potato
