Best IBs for Industrials in 2018?
I'm curious as to which banks have the strongest industrials groups. I know this was talked about previously on WSO but I wanted to get an updated take and also ask specifically about branch offices (GS Chicago for example).
Please let me know your thoughts
Credit Suisse is pretty strong in London
DB remains strong because of the strength of the sector in Germany.
We all thought that about Lev Fin as well, being a key business for DB. Now, I'm not too sure given co-heads departure. Banks' strength is only sustainable to the extent of their key bankers staying. With this falling out, if Industrial MDs decide to leave, there's no reason they retain their franchise quality.
I’d say the nature of Industrials (a catch-all group for all remaining company types besides the key verticals like A&D, Transpo, etc) leads to most, if not all BBs having industrials groups of at least solid caliber.
Haven’t heard too great things about CS and BAML in terms of dealflow in industrials though.
