Best Industry for MBA to IB/PE

So I am a Junior at a non-target with a 3.5 gpa and with a few internship prospects this summer. I recently did my final round interviews at a foreign MM bank for an SA role and got rejected off behaviorals. I know I’m not doing IB SA this summer so I’m looking at different routes to IB. I have an offer from a top 50 f500 for a corpfin internship but its away from HQ, although it is a feeder into a well known FLDP program. I also am in the process of interviewing with another well known f500 in corpfin at HQ and also am interviewing for a role in financial research with a company everyone in finance is familiar with. I also have been looking at some real estate PE internships.

My end goal is BB/EB IB or PE. What industries are common to see BB/EB MBA interns from? Based off some research on how elite MBAs recruit and my background I think I have good chances at a top 10 MBA. I also have a solid network of people in IB. I just am having trouble deciding what industry would be good to spin into a summer associate role. Its between Corpfin, that financial research role, and REPE as of now. I’ve also thought about working at very small regional IBs in my area (S Florida) and trying to lateral but it’s kind of risky and if it doesn’t work out it could be hard to go top 10 MBA from that. What industries do you guys think would bode will in my situation? Any other options you guys think could lead to an IB role in the future?
