Best Non-Banking Internship for Sophomores

I, like many non-diversity/non-target sophomores, was unable to grab a spot this summer in banking. I’m lucky enough to have a few different alternatives for this summer through caddying connections, and I was just wanting to get some feedback on what would be best to get aid in landing a banking spot in the future. This may also just be helpful to discuss strong alternatives to banking so sophomores don’t think their life is over when they fail to get a gig at GS when they’re 19 years old.

My options for this summer are: 1-2bn AUM Mutual Fund with no formal program (I’d likely be the only intern)

Small VC Fund with no formal program (Also would likely be the only intern)

PWM with a prominent firm with a formal intern program.

Would love to hear other thoughts as well as general good other options sophomores can pursue to break into banking in the future.
