Blackstone Advisory HK Summer Analyst Interview

Does anybody have experience and insights with this? Not really sure what to expect except for hardcore technicals etc. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Can you clarify more on this? Well judging from the news they don't seem to be getting much deal flow or was your friend referring to their work culture

Surprised that BX is still recruiting so late. Heard very good things about BX HK in terms of culture/pay/exit opps, essentially the same level as BX NY except obviously Asia focused. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss dealflow as BX M&A hasn't updated the transactions on its website in a long time, and the bankers are well paid so obviously lucrative deals are still happening.

I heard quite the opposite. Analysts are pretty ill equipped technically, not much real deal flow, lots of pitching and market research work. Idk about exit opps specifically but based on my previous sentence I don't imagine them to be on par with NY. Idk about culture, didn't ask. The person I know who interned there was unable to get an SA offer in NYC so that might shed some light on the caliber of their interns.
