BofA Global Banking and Markets

I had an interview today for this group. It seems like elements of corporate banking, risk management and my interviewer said their industry groups work hand-in-hand with other groups on a lot of deals...the investment bank, and treasury for instance.

Does anyone have any experience with this group or something similar? I was told even the training for new hires is the same that the IB analysts receive. Thanks

GBAM isn't really a group, its the top level. Like GBAM, GCB, GWIM. So I don't understand the question... What group did you interview for under it? Risk mgmt?

dereka2013Global Banking and Markets - Analyst Program was the specific name for the position.

Then it depends on the job description GBAM at BofA has: Corporate Banking Investment Banking Capital Markets Research

And then it also has support teams.

Ahh.. the group isn't GBAM, the group facilitates GBAM. You are working with a credit risk mgmt group who supports the GBAM front office roles. Its like a MO/BO role.

It seems better than other corporate credit roles because it's for underwritig and loan portfolio mgmt. Plus, it seems yeahright, is right that I would get in on a lot of the areas inside GBAM including IB and LevFin deals. What are the exit ops for a spot like this after my MBA? I would apply 3 or 4 years in a row until I get into UT-Austin's program. Lol
