Good group but you will likely hate your life.
One of the top RE groups on the street. Strong reputation and you will get looks at all top RE PE funds. Not sure about culture so would defer to others
Heard the culture is horrible
Top of the street with top REPE & REIT exits. But, you will grind.
How would this compare to MS RE coverage?
its been 1) BofA and 2a) MS 2b) JPM for the past few years
Seems like the group has great exits but questionable culture?
The group arguably has the most MF exits among all groups at BofA
Most MF exits for real estate. Not for corporate PE. If you're interested in Corporate PE absolutely do not do REGAL. Do M&A or LevFin.
No, prospect. FSG places the best, then M&A, and lastly LevFin. REGL has the most MF placements by number though mostly real estate investing roles.
Bankers are really good, highly respected, but burnout is pretty high. Had a call with a guy that legit sounded like. a zombie.
Great group with top-notch exits. Some recent exits include Oaktree, TPG, Blackstone, Starwood, Bain, and Baupost

genuine question: what's the benefit of going to BAML or other BB when you can get similar exits from CBRE/JLL etc.?
Groups that were listed in the comment above you would never hire a guy from CBRE/JLL over a kid from BAML's REGL group. Just look at the background of the acquisitions guys at those shops on LinkedIn/website...
was under the impression it was common enough. must have my info wrong
When's the last time that kids from CBRE/JLL exit to the shops listed above...? Groups like BAML REGL will open doors to the most selective investing opps
I interned virtually in the group this past summer. Been the top REGL group on the street for about 5 years straight now. Definitely one of the groups at BofA that works the most but it's a work hard, play hard culture. Everyone gets along really well, great deal flow leads to great exposure/technical experience, and mentorship programs are fantastic. FT bankers truly want the best for you, even if that means transferring groups or leaving for PE.
What are exits like to Corporate PE/traditional buyout?
bump, any updated info?
bump. considering lateral to the group
