what do you think separated you from other candidates and got you that offer? was it technical knowledge, well-roundedness, or something else?

Knowing my technicals cold, able to speak to market and sectors my group works in, and lots of research into my interviewers beforehand. My whole strategy was just over prepping tbh.

Honestly this is pretty cool to see, congratulations. Did you ever feel like I guess doubtful given you never did investment banking before? Is it a pretty top BB? Partly my train of thought is you’d think banks would want to hire people with previous internship experience just cause what you mentioned most kids have yk.

I just used all the free guides everyone alr talks about. I made sure to conceptually understand everything rather than just memorize problems, but everyone tells you that anyways. Markets wise I just read WSJ everyday and used chat gpt deep research to find some recent deals my group worked on.
