Burnt out on Banking
I went in thinking banking was for rockstars, masters of the universe, future ceos etc. But I realized they are still just wage cucks like everyone else. Sure they get paid well, but at the end of the day they’re just cucks working for a check from a ceo or true entrepreneur.
You’re not going to get to marry a model just cause you’re a good banker, you’ll prob do okay financially and marry a somewhat decent looking person. But Wall Street isn’t what it used to be. It’s just a good job and that’s it.
I’m feeling burnt out already and I’m not sure how to handle it. Anyone else felt this way before?
Totally get you. My advice is to focus on the stuff that matters - you already laid it out nicely in your post. Making sure you find someone better than somewhat decent looking to marry (there is a direct correlation between wife hotness and long term happiness/fulfillment), and doing better than just "okay" financially.
Finally, use blanket black and white style thinking whenever possible, like how everyone in banking are cucks working for a check. Grey areas or nuances are for pussies.

Thanks man - how do you think I should handle my upcoming internship? Should I just do as well as possible to get the return offer and then use it to pivot to a new industry?
Or does it make sense to start reucruting for tech internships right now

The fact that you didn't realize my entire response was dripping in sarcasm is telling.
Good luck with your first banking internship
Lol u sound mad
Enjoy working like a cuck while I start my own company in Silicon Valley
And you sound stupid
Everyone is working for a check. Work is work, whether you love what you do or not. There's no getting around that.
The fact is, most CEOs and "True Entrepreneurs" (whatever the true part adds to the word) worked their asses off for a long time to get to where they are. That's what it takes to get to their level. The people that make it to CEO or who are entrepreneurs who built successful companies are a very small percentage of the overall population, so I'm sorry to say, but the vast majority of the people you'll encounter throughout the world are going to be the "cucks" that are getting you down.
As for banking just being a good job...of course it's just a good job. And it's either for you or it's not, just like any other job.
You're right on your observations. Relax. Develop your skills and go be the big swingin dick you aspire to be. You're already in the top percentile. You'll get there, killa.
