Business Fraternity at Non-Target?

Hi all,

I'm currently a freshman at what's considered a non-target and I'm wondering if it's worth it to join a Business fraternity such as Alpha Kappa Psi and Delta Sigma Pi. From a non-target, would joining be much help for me to get my foot out the door? Would it give me connections? I am hoping to transfer to a better school in the East Coast after my 2nd year, so I guess I'm wondering whether joining a business frat would both look good on my transfer application and help with networking/other stuff as well.

What do you guys think?

How about joining to refine your professional skills? Not everything that you do should be a direct corollary to some pipeline -- work on improving yourself as well and you will become a more desirable commodity.

Hmm it won't do much, maybe it can help you out with a connection or two (it depends on the school/frat/how many alumni they have in ib/seniors going to ib). The biggest thing that I can see from it is that you can always reach out to ppl (coldmail/linkedin) that were in the same chapter (non alumni) and they might be more responsive since you have a connection.

This is just my opinion regarding business frats at my non-target. Everyone's experience might be different.
