Can I Get Into An MSF?

I have a 3.2 UGPA with a 3.6 GPA for the last two years. (Upward trend)

Eight months Investment Banking Analyst internship at LMM bank where I learned modeling, helped with deals, actual banking work.

Will have a year FT IB analyst experience upon matriculation.

Heres the problem: I have been studying for the GMAT for a month and a half. I dont think I can score above a 650. Will I get into Vanderbilt/UT Austin/USC/WUSTL with a 650 GMAT and the above? Gonna be applying second round with a 5 star letter of rec from MD of the bank.

Vandy is my number one and their class profile last year was 3.68 GPA and 692 GMAT.

These programs are usually willing to overlook a below-average GPA or GMAT/GRE, but not both. There's nothing you can do about your GPA now, so definitely focus on getting your GMAT/GRE score up to a little above average for the programs. Having IB experience will set you apart in a positive way, so that's definitely in your favor. You already have a good recommendation, so your next step is to craft really good application essays. Finally, I highly recommend you reach out to the admissions managers of the programs you're interested in and speak with them about your admission chances, you'll be surprised how willing to help admissions managers can be. Best of luck!
