Bump, more specifically do you have to divest previous holdings
Yes they don't regulate non-employees
You're required to divest if it's not held at an approved brokerage (usually the larger brokers like Schwab, Fidelity etc are all fine; Robinhood et all are not typically approved). If you hold single names in an approved brokerage, they won't force you to divest but you can't typically trade single names, so buy/sell whatever you want to until you're out of banking

Also, just to clarify: I can buy and sell stock even after my U-4 is filed but before I start on my first day?
