yeah I had a first rounder interview for nyc tech team last week but had a superday at a differnet bank with someone who said the tech team for NYC already had their superday so i'm hella confused

Comp is in-line with street, and I know Toronto office culture is good but sweaty.
Is that consistent for all the coverage teams? And are they all in 1 bullpen or in different floors?

didn't they have some insane bonuses couple years ago? are they still maintaining those bonus levels relative to street?

Heard from a buddy, Not maintaining those. Laid off 10% of their US workforce in July. It’s a volume shop, so when the markets do well, so do they. But when the markets stumble, they stumble as well. 100k base nyc
I know an analyst/associate who confirmed these bonuses, but said it was a one time thing. They focus on quantity over quality of deals though.
What is it closer to now for an1?
When the equity markets were roaring. They're part of bigger deals but also churn out a bunch of small financings for little shitcos in everything from cannabis to blockchain. Don't expect that level of comp to be a regular thing.
