Okay, i'm going to assume you have a 3.6/4.0, not out of 4.33, b/c that wouldn't explain how you got Deloitte Anyway, good job on Deloitte as a sophomore.

From my experience, Canadian banks look at grades quite a lot. My overall is 3.7 / 4.0, but before going into recruiting, I had something close to 3.8-3.85/4.0 for that year. so they do look at an upward trend But with that said, I know some other people with a lower GPA who got an interview + offer, and they had really good work experiences. So seems like you do have good work experiences (mining boutique + consulting).

I think you should get a fair number of interviews from Canadian banks. You could pick up online GPA boosters during the summer, but I don't know how much time you will have with your summer work, so prob should not risk it. Also, banks do ask why you picked up random courses, if the average for that course is high or course number/code looks funny.

*by the end of this year, you mean before January 2014? Because technically you do have another 4 months to improve your GPA

No probs! You might actually have a better shot with us banks. My friend with better work experiences got more interviews with us banks while I (with a better gpa) got more interviews with Canadian banks.
