unrelated but ive seen more Capital One posts on here in the last 2 months than the last 2 years. Kinda crazy

HQ is in Mclean VA, but have sizable offices in richmond, dallas, SF, and NYC

They’re starting a formal investment banking analyst program. They acquired TripleTree in 2021, and Kipps Desantos a couple of years back I believe. The MD’s have solid backgrounds. They obviously aren’t a full service IB, but it seems like a solid low pressure place to learn and get paid. I’ve worked with the Capital One guys before and it’s clear they know their shit, without having huge egos like a lot of banks do.

They’re HQ’ed in McLean, VA but they don’t have a traditional IB presence there for the most part. The primary office is in NYC. They also have corporate banking in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Richmond. Dallas is a big corporate banking office for them. Also, their bankers are only in the office Tues-Thurs with Monday and Friday being work from home days.

Interesting they're building this out. Capital One could be a great potential acquirer for CSFB in a couple years.

Thats actually the first thing I thought when I heard about the CSFB spin out. I could def see it happening
