Changing resume after receiving internship offer?

Hey guys,

So, I recently received an offer for a finance internship at a F500, and they told me that to accept the position, I need to send them a copy of my resume and the signed offer letter.

I was thinking about removing one of my previous internship experiences on my resume before I sent it to them primarily because I didn't have good relationship with the supervisor for that particular internship experience and am afraid that the supervisor won't put a good word for me/won't verify for me when background checking starts. However, the issue is that when I applied for the internship online, I included that internship experience on both my resume and the application form. Additionally, just the day before the superday interview for the F500 company, I also sent them an updated resume that included this experience (this was just 2 weeks ago).

-Do you guys think I should omit that experience from my resume and send that resume to the HR?

-Also, when a company does background checks, are they checking information on the application form online that you submitted for the position or are they checking information on your resume?

Thanks so much in advance!

Thanks for responding! I'm an undegrad junior so I don't think they would be looking for gaps. Do you think I should remove the internship experience from my resume despite listing that experience on my online job application/previous resumes that I submitted?

I listed 5 internship experiences, so I think removing one wouldn't be too big of a deal. However, the issue is that I already listed that experience on the online application that I submitted as well as previous resumes that I sent to the HR so they might get suspicious of the discrepancy.
