Chattanooga Apprenticeship or WF Anchorage Role?
Hey everyone, I just got done recruiting for SA27' and have 2 really good offers on my hands, but I don't know which one to pick.
My first offer is a direct apprenticeship from a top MM MD who recently relocated to Chattanooga, TN and was looking for a young stud to mentor and build out his practice with. He says I can become a "second version" of him by taking this role, which sounds super intriguing since I've also wanted to work in Chattanooga M&A. He said he worked on a super cool $10MM EV deal recently on a local pickle bar that sold multiple locations, which seems like interesting work.
My second offer is a role at Wells Fargo's Assistant Branch Manager Summer Analyst Program in Anchorage, which I had to grind for. Literally did 10 rounds of interviews, but it seems like it was worth it because they want to pay me $25.77/hr for the summer. I've never been to Anchorage but it seems like a vibrant city with tons of nightlife. I also feel the WF brand can take me a long way.
Any thoughts on which offer I should choose?? The Chattanooga MD only giving me 2 days to accept, so I have to decide fast.

Recommendation:
If your primary goal is to break into M&A and you're excited about the mentorship and niche deals in Chattanooga, the apprenticeship seems like the better fit. However, if you value brand recognition, structured training, and a broader range of future opportunities, the Wells Fargo role might be the safer choice. Given the tight deadline, weigh these factors quickly and trust your instincts.

Congrats on two fantastic offers
I think Chattanooga is better here as the finance district is considered the "next Wall Street" and working directly under a rainmaker MD is invaluable
WF seat still a good pick of course with top tier exits (insurance sales, mortgage brokering in Anchorage)
Unless you want to be brokering Igloo mortgages I'd go with Chattanooga.
Unmatched deal flow and visibility. The visibility is especially good at the Chattanooga municipal golf course, where I regularly hit 15 below par
wf brand name is worth the move to anchorage if it’s just a summer
