CIBC GIB INTERNSHIP INTERVIEW

Hey everyone,

I have a first round interview coming up with CIBC for their Global Investment Banking Winter 2027 Analyst role and just wanted to see if anyone has been through the process before.

I know it is a mix of behavioural and technical but a few things I am curious about:

How heavy are the technicals in the first round or is it mostly behavioural?
Anything that caught you off guard that you wish you had prepped for?
Any general tips for standing out?
Lastly how the interview process is for anyone who got a role in GIB
