Citi Group Rankings 2026

Seeing several postings up for Citi IB across Tech, FIG, Consumer, and Industrials. Was looking to gain some insight into group rankings and what places have the best combination of deal experience and culture? Also seeing a lot of postings up for 1st and 2nd years in these groups — is their IB arm growing, or are analysts just quitting given new leadership (assume work is becoming more sweaty under Vis and new hires)?

IND/M&A/FSG/HC strongest teams, Telco/Tech/Energy/C&R are the next strongest.

Aggressive hiring in Tech particularly, Energy has fallen off slightly in the past 7 years but still strong.

Strong group that holds pen on modeling and has worked on massive deals (Hologic / BX & Walgreens / Sycamore) The juniors have historically had great exits to PE

M&A and IND strongest. Tech is strong too and has seen some movement in leadership (both inflow and outflow) recently. LevFin is great. GAM has one of the better cultures. Believe FIG has a decent culture too. Would avoid Power/Energy if culture is top priority. Tech can get quite sweaty too.

Disagree Levfin is a much weaker analyst experience vs other BBs. Modeling is done by Sponsors and you’re more of a term sheet machine than banker

Heard that it’s always snowing in the REGL group whatever that means…
