Commercial Banking to Private Credit
Recently started at a Commercial Bank after my analyst IB stint. While the hours are great and the pay is decent, it does seem to get boring. I am really interested in PC as my previous IB skills of working on Lev Fin deals and the credit skills I am learning atm seem to transition well. I was wondering if this move is possible to make considering the growth in the industry?
Jpmc MMBSI type role?
Bump
I can't imagine it being too difficult especially you already have the skills particularly related to LevFin. Assuming you get an interview, I'd imagine it's just a matter of presenting a convincing story of why you want to move into a PC role from commercial bank. But again, just mention the IB/LevFin experience.
How does the move look like from wholesale credit to private credit? Only wanting to know the modelling aspect, as our credit has analysis of models but not modelling a lot. Will that be a challenge? And if so, how or what can i learn to fill the gap at minimum at the earliest? Many thanks
