Are they happy with their LASIK procedure? I am considering it as well but I am concerned that working long hours after the procedure may not be the best thing for my eyes.

Not hard at all. Just switch to glasses around 9pm. Don't get LASIK until you're eyes don't change prescription anymore (usually in your early 30's).

Never had a problem. I keep a lens case and solution at my desk (as well as a spare pair b/c you never know when you have an accidental rip). I'll swap out whenever my eyes start to get tired. My particular feelings is that after 12-14 hrs, you should take out your lenses to let your eyes rest if you are working late into the night. It's worked wonders for me because I can prevent myself from crashing in my lenses.

I would recommend the following:

-Use glasses if at all possible. -If you must wear contacts, use Clearcare solution. Look it up. It is much easier on your eyes than normal solution. -Take Lutein supplements. -Don't get LASIK during your analyst stint. -Move your eyes around, don't let them be glued to your screen for too long.

I had Lasik done... best money I've ever spent. Incredible procedure with virtually no side effects. However, as mentioned before, I would not do it during your analyst years. The first month or so you have to get used to bright lights and looking at a computer screen for a long time might get a little agitating.

I was back at work the next day after my procedure but had to take a few breaks from looking at the screen (I was only staring at a screen 4-5 hours a day anyways).
