CS Energy Group NY

I know CS is regarded as one of the best Energy Groups on the street for oil and gas but what about their NY Energy Group? I know it mostly does Clean Energy but are the exit opps to PE just as good as compared to the Houston office? Thanks for any response

Just to clarify that only has to do with them downsizing correct? Other than that do you know if they send people to energy PE shops? I saw a couple guys from there who went to First Reserve, thanks for your reply.

Ya that's what I thought as well, someone told me they had good exits before they lost some top bankers in 2012. Just trying to get a feel for them now, and see if they are still poised to be a great place for PE exits in the future

"avoid NYC CS for Energy. They're downsizing both Energy/Power. Houston Energy is good. Look elsewhere if Power/NatRes in NYC."

Can anyone confirm this? I know they are regarded as one of the top Power & Renewables groups on the street, but they lost Ray Wood and 3 MDs along with him. I'm very curious to know if anyone has evidence that they are still making cuts in that group, or whether that was/is a result of their ongoing efforts to trim their IBD?

Long V, MA, AXP, DOGE.

I've recently done some research on this group as well. From what I hear, they are the best in the business and one of the very top groups at CS (if not the best). They've been very active and their analysts get great exposure.
