As someone who interned virtually last summer, enjoy it.
You save so much money from not paying NYC rent (let alone new clothes for the office, food/alcohol/cover when going out in the city, etc.).
If you have nothing to do, you can nap, go outside, workout, jerk it, literally whatever you want that you normally cannot do in the office.
You can wake up 5 minutes before your first meeting and wear your boxers during the call. You can be 4'10" or socially awkward and nobody will be able to tell since you're remote. You present your final project on Zoom (where you can reference notes) instead of in-person to your group heads.
Sure... but you are deprived of the opportunity to actually see what you're getting yourself into, meet the people you work with, really develop relationships, and decide on whether or not it's for you. It's great if you want to jerk your meat but definitively stunts your growth and development.

Were you given real work during your SA stint?
Yes, about the same as we would’ve in person. I don’t think this was the expectation from the jump but it ended up this way
is this US or UK? I'm not incoming at CS but still praying for in person internship in London since things are supposed to be opening up on June 21
us
thanks
Has the HR in UK said anything about virtual or online? Interning at another bank in Canary Wharf and maybe they'll all follow each other's leads
Bofa UK is virtual btw
Yep from now on everything will be virtual at CS. They will have to sell their offices to pay for all their recent fuck ups + the 20k bonuses
Was wondering if any 2021 SAs have received their relocation bonus yet- was supposed to be sent May 15 and still haven't seen much (NYC)
