Datacenter Backstop Structuring
Has anyone worked across from the public hardware, cloud, or server OEM companies on backstopping sub-IG tenant datacenter deals? Seems like there are a lot of approaches (early termination fee, contractual backstop arrangement, residual value agreements on the hardware, pledging warrants in the operator to lenders, etc.) but have not seen any actual models! The simplest start would be no hardware / GPU fleet financing, just lease / NRC.
