Deal toys are the only reason I want to become an investment banker

Hey guys, I’m considering becoming an investment banker because you get a lot of money, great exit ops, prestige, but the main reason is because I want one of those cool looking deal toys. So when I’m at my superday and the fucker asks “why investment banking” do I hit him with a “because I really want a deal toy”?

Yes. At most banks that is indeed the only tangible reward you will receive for slaving away on 100 hour work weeks for months on end. Bonuses to the MDs, deal toys to the rest. Glad that your expectations are aligned with reality. I see a bright future for you in your junior years.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."
