The best group in the standpoint of deals and leaderboards are lev fin and DCM. Regarding coverage groups it’s prob industrials (I think) and maybe E&P (not sure how much that changed in the past year). M&A is pretty bad because I’m pretty sure last year PWC did better in M&A advisory did more than Wells.
This is inaccurate and misleading. PwC did "more" deals by count than Wells in the Americas last year, but they also did more than Moelis, Credit Suisse, and RBC. However, their total deal value was only 15M, whereas Wells' total deal value was 57M. WFS was #19 on deals by value, and PwC did not make the list. Please stop trying to mislead prospects and interns.
Coincidentally right after I saw this post, I saw Patrick Curtis post on LinkedIn the current M&A league tables from Thomson One and Wells Fargo was right behind Moelis. How is that trash? It’s 15 on the league table. Yes it’s not as good as BB banks but I wouldn’t consider that trash.

Good luck in placement and don’t get fucked over lol
Elaborate. What group should i look forward to the least?
Most of WFs groups are in Charlotte and half of them aren’t even real IB. Best groups are LevFin and M&A. NY is preferable to Char for exit opps
M&A is trash at Wells. If you want the M&A then sure but you’re not gonna be closing deals.
Alright, my understanding is that is the best group

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. Lev fin is in CLT and M&A is the only product at the bank not T10 in league tables
Congrats on the offer
Congrats on the offer, will see you there !
Let’s go! PM me if you want
congrats! I just accepted my offer a few days ago too for IB at Wells.
