Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate any advice on my situation and the best path forward.

Background:

Non-target undergrad in Boston, graduating May 2026. 3.4 GPA. International student (need STEM/OPT extension).Three internships in Latin America:Early internship (more tangent, prepared materials with some overlap to finance).Public financial entity internship. Most recent: Junior summer in Investment Banking Structured Finance at a Latin American BB (project finance, leveraged finance, DCM, Rx exposure).

Current Position:

Senior year right now.Targeting IB Summer 2026 roles to convert to FT after Master's.Plan is to do a Master’s from Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 in a STEM-eligible program to secure the 2-year OPT extension. If I only graduate from undergrad, I’d only get 1 year.

Questions:

What is the most strategic way to break into IB at this point, given my profile (non-target, international, LatAm internships, Master's Plan)?Any advice on programs/paths that would maximize my chance of breaking into IB in?
Does my GPA f me?
Should I even do the master’s?
