The key is not to give up. When you are going through interviews, banks are looking at candidates asking themselves the questions: 1) Can he do the work 2) Can he handle to stress of the job 3) Do I like him. You have to fit all three. Sometimes you may be strong in one area and weak in another...it all depends. The best thing you can do is Network, Network, Network. You need to talk to as many people in each group you are interviewing that you can connect with before and after your interviews and just keep applying everywhere you can....all you need is one. Don't give up.
i do'nt know you at all, so i can't judge, but maybe you're unlikeable? no matter how smart/prepared you are, if you come off awkward/unsocialable/dull/etc, people aren't gonna want you..
maybe you act different around different people? For example, my banker friend was telling me i act a bit too polite/politically correct with people I meet in a professional setting. Told me to act like one of the guys when meeting associates/analysts, but be polite to MD/VP's?
