Disclosing Private M&A Deal Values & Client Names on Resume?

Just curious, for private M&A transactions, is it acceptable to list both the client names and the deal value on your resume? Even if the valuation was not previously disclosed?

I am assuming not and am curious if everyone thinks it's better to disclose the client names or the transaction value, if you have to chose on or the other? I like the idea of showing deal values, but it just seems like you could be making up deals if you don't include the actual clients. Examples below:

  • $50,000,000 Acquisition of IT Transformation Consulting client by Financial Sponsor - Sell-Side M&A Advisor

Vs.

  • Acquisition of Client XYZ by ABC Capital Partners - Sell-Side M&A Advisor

I'm pretty sure firms review this during a background check, etc. Do not name drop. Keep everything generic. I wouldn't include the exact deal value, give a range instead. I think the WSO and M&I resume templates highlight how to do this.
